I taught myself everything I know about digital, AI and systems.

I joined Pošta Slovenije in 2004, nowhere near where I am now. I started at the actual bottom. The graveyard shift. What I had was time after work and the habit of using it to learn.

Twelve years in, I started a blog, picked the people inside the company I wanted to reach, blasted them with ads and sent a video application straight to the CEO. It was not the safe move. But it got me into Marketing.

My background is video production and social media, about ten years of it. That is still how I think. In pictures, in stories, with the audience in the room. Underneath it is someone who wants to know how the parts connect.

Today I am Head of Digital Channels at Pošta Slovenije, a large, regulated, state-owned enterprise. The job is translation as much as technology. Project management, legal, procurement, IT and vendors, one architecture that all of them can defend.

I am not a developer. I direct the tools instead of writing the code by hand. Claude Code most of the time, other AI systems where they fit the job better. The systems I build outside work, the skills, the pipelines, this site, come from the same place. A problem I had, no product that fit, and the time after work.

The System Layer is where I write down what held up. And also what didn't. Every two weeks, one system.
